@Q Exit BitCom (return to DOS).
BitCom is a general purpose communication system. It can be used for
calling other computers, allowing other computers to call you, or just as
a phone list database. At any time, you can press the @H key, and you
will be shown a short description of the BitCom function keys which have
an effect for the current level. You may also press @r for more
information on that level, or @H again for a high level index from which
you may select help on any BitCom topic. The above function keys have
meaning in the main menu. You may also select one of the following
alternatives:
@3Select/Edit Phone Numbers@1
Press the '1' key see a phone number selection menu. This menu will
allow you to initiate a call, setup the computer to answer a call, or
select a record so you may see/edit the communication parameters.@
@4BitCom -- Communications System@1
@3INTRODUCTION@1
@3Invoke SCRIPT File@1
Press the '2' key to see a list of BitCom "Script" files, and optionally
select one to be run. Script files are files with a .SCP name extension.
@3Change Configuration@1
Press the '3' key to see/edit the global configuration parameters.
These parameters allow you to specify the configuration of your computer
system and your modem.
@3Issue DOS command@1
Press the '4' key to enter the world of DOS temporarily. You will see
the d> prompt just like in normal DOS, except the cursor will be larger
(so you don't forget you are still running BitCom). You may enter any
DOS command. Press ─┘ in answer to the prompt to return to BitCom.@.
